Volunteer Sioux Falls, a community-wide day of volunteerism, will take place Saturday, September 25, 2010. Join 1,000 volunteers as hundreds of hands help build a better community during this day of service. 

Volunteers are needed for the following projects on Friday, September 24, 2010!

Can't help on the 25th?  Help in the days leading up to Volunteer Sioux Falls!

Option 1: Try  School-Based Mentoring and see if it's right for you!  Eat lunch with a child, and play carnival games from 11am to 1pm at Oscar Howe, Hayward, or Horace Mann Elementary. 

Option 2: Help at the SD Festival of Books.  Volunteers are needed September 24, 25 & 26.  Please visit www.sdbookfestival.com for more information.  Volunteers are needed to help with the festival in 4 hour shifts. 

Volunteers are needed for the following projects on Saturday, September 25!

Start your day for the Volunteer Sioux Falls Kick Off Rally at the Empire Mall from 8:30 to 9:00am!  Then, head out to make a difference!

Option 1: Adopt a project! Teams of volunteers are needed to adopt various projects from moving assistance to construction work.  Click here to see more!

Option 2: Clean out your closets for coats!  Life 96.5 is holding a coat drive for area youth and adults.  Drop off coats at Guest Services at the Empire Mall between September 1 to the 24th.  On Saturday, September 25, drop off coats at the Avera Living Well Center (corner of 33rd and Minnesota). 

Option 3: Along with your coats, bring soup cans to donate to Feeding South Dakota.  Avera McKennan Hospital employees will be collecting soup on Saturday, September 25 at the Avera Living Well Center (corner of 33rd and Minnesota).  

Option 4: Join Pettigrew Heights Neighborhood Litter Clean Up!  Volunteers will meet at 9am at the Sioux Falls Seminary Summit House - 333 S. Summit Avenue.  The Neighborhood Clean Up event will end with lunch provided at the Pettigrew Heights Neighborhood Harvest Festival at Lowell Elementary School (710 W 18th Street) at noon. 

Option 5: Only have 15 minutes or an hour?  Stop by SPEED Volunteering at the Outdoor Campus! No need to register - bring your family or friends to help with garden work, mailings, craft projects, etc... 10am to 2pm at the Outdoor Campus. 

Option 6:  Help at the Green-ival & Bio-Blitz from 9am to 2pm at the Outdoor Campus and Sertoma Park!   

Option 7: Help at the Walk/Run for Life.  Assist with Set-Up & Take Down.  Cheer on walkers along the way.  

Option 8: Attend the Youth Enrichment Services free kids carnival from 2 to 5pm at 700 Sneve Avenue.  Siouxland RSVP members, who are celebrating National Senior Corps Week, will be running games for kids. 

Volunteers are needed for the following projects on Sunday, September 26, 2010!

Can't get enough of volunteering!  Join a project taking place on Sunday!

Option 1:  Help build a set for the Sioux Empire Community Theatre production of The Miracle Worker.  1:00 to 4:00pm at the Orpheum.
