The Helpline Center has gathered the information below to assist in the COVID-19 pandemic response.

  • Individuals who feel they may have been exposed to COVID-19 (coronavirus), who are displaying symptoms, or have medical questions are asked to call:
    • Avera
      • 1-877-AT-AVERA (1-877-282-8372), or contact their clinic.
    • Brookings Health Systems (individuals in Brookings County)

      • (605) 353-6214, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 7 days a week
    • Monument Health (individuals in West River area)

Testing Options

  • Individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 (coronavirus) symptoms should contact the appropriate health system number for their area as listed above.
  • Individuals who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 and are not experiencing symptoms but want to be tested:
    • Call their primary care physician for advice
    • Drive through testing in South Dakota
      • Rapid City – Oyate Health Center
        • Call before arriving at the facility (605) 355-2463
        • Southwest Clinic (drive through hours): 7:00am – 7:00pm (MT), 7 days a week
        • Urgent Care hours: 7:00am – 11:00pm (MT), 7 days a week
      • Sioux Falls – Hy-Vee, 2700 W. 10th Street
        • Free testing, self-administered with trained supervision 
        • Must register online
        • Results emailed within 3 – 5 days

      • Sioux Falls – Walgreens, 3620 W. 41st Street(Other locations may be available soon)
        • Free testing for those who meet meet criteria.  To check eligibility, take an online survey.
        • Test is self-administered under trained supervision
        • Results will be provided online, by phone or by mail
