This office serves Aurora, Davison, Hanson, Jerauldm Sanborn and Tripp counties.

Program Information

Rural Office of Community Services, Inc offers the following basic needs services:

  • Emergency Rental Assistance
    • Must be behind (i.e.: if rent is due on the 5th, come for assistance after the 5th). Eviction notice is not required, however, there will be a form the landlord needs to complete the verify rent is past due.
  • Emergency Utility Assistance
    • Must be behind AND have disconnection notice.
  • Employment Program
  • Food Vouchers
  • Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing
  • Public Transportation Pass Program
  • Security deposit or first months rent
    • Can help with one or the other, but not both
  • School supply vouchers (income qualifications apply, children K-12)
  • Weatherization
