Join us for the 15th Annual Step Forward to Prevent Suicide Walk on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 9:00am at Fawick Park in downtown Sioux Falls. This meaningful community event brings together hundreds of people to honor loved ones, share hope, and stand united in suicide prevention.

Event highlights include:

  • A powerful story of hope and healing shared by our guest speakers Dodi & Brian Young
  • A Remembrance Ceremony, where names of those lost to suicide are read aloud (click here to submit a name by June 2)
  • A 1.5‑mile walk beginning and ending at Fawick Park, traveling to Cliff Avenue and back
  • Event t-shirts will be sold prior to and also at the event (click here)

Participants are encouraged to register as an individual or form a team of friends, family members, coworkers, or classmates. Each step taken helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those who are grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.

You can still make an impact by donating. All funds raised directly support the Helpline Center’s suicide prevention, awareness, and support programs, providing life‑saving services to individuals and families throughout our community.
