Every year, Volunteer Connections organizes impactful events that unite community members, nonprofits, and business groups in the spirit of giving back. In 2025, we were proud to host two statewide Days of Service. Inspiring opportunities for volunteers of all ages to connect with causes that matter and make a tangible difference in their communities.

📅 September 11: Day of Service with Habitat for Humanity
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, this special day honors the National Day of Service and Remembrance by mobilizing volunteers across South Dakota. Participants will take part in meaningful, hands-on projects that uplift neighborhoods, support families, and build stronger communities.

📅 November 22: Family Volunteer Day
Celebrate the power of families giving back together! Our Statewide Family Volunteer Day encourages multigenerational service and invites families of all shapes and sizes to engage in projects that make a lasting impact, just in time for the season of giving.
