Youth Mentoring Programs

AMMY (Adults Mentoring Minority Youth) - The AMMY program offers help to minority youth at risk. Mentors are role models who meet with students once a week to provide support to immigrant & refugee high school age students. Bartlett Foundation -
Our scholarship program affords youth's access to competitive athletic programming. By participating in our program each scholared athlete is paired with a mentor. Coach advocates for their success on the court while their mentor off the court. Low income 3rd - 12th grade athletes. EmBe - Girls on the Run - Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based, positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-5th grades. Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident by using fun, experience based curriculum that teaches life skills through interactive lessons and running games. Hurdle Life Coach Foundation - CHANGE Diversion Program - The CHANGE mentorship program is a personal and professional character development training program for individuals in the midst of a transition in life born of personal adversity. Junior Achievement of South Dakota - JA volunteer mentors go into classrooms and use the JA pre-developed curriculum to teach students about careers, money, and business ownership while weaving in their own personal life and business experiences. LSS Climb - Community based mentoring for children ages 7-14 in the Sioux Falls area. Climb mentors meet with youth as they look to reach a bright future. LSS Everyday Heroes - Everyday Hero volunteers spend one hour per week with an elementary, middle or high school student at the school. Everyday Heroes mentors can volunteer in public school districts in Lincoln and Minnehaha Counties, Grades PreK to 12. LSS USucceed - Mentoring program especially for high school students. Mentors meet with a student in or outside of school. Matches commit to 4 years of meeting 4 hours per month. Matches focus on college and career planning, community service and relationship development. Grades 9-12. Multi-Cultural Center of Sioux Falls - The Multi-Cultural Center is a state-licensed after school and out of school facility. We have six youth programs. that work on academic skills. It is intended to support the mentee to develop a goal to advance in her career, change jobs and/or develop leadership goals.
