Domestic Violence Advocacy Services Program at Domestic Violence Network of the Lakes Region
Madison Site
In-Shelter or Out-of-Shelter services provided to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their families, so they can make decisions about their lives in a supportive, non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere.
Ongoing advocacy is provided and assistance with obtaining resources to seek, or rebuild, a new and safe life. Provides courtroom advocacy, assist with protection orders, can provide interpretive services, and safety planning, and can assist with supplies for day-to-day living and setting up a new household. Children are welcome. Assistance with transportation needs can be addressed. Shelter can accommodate nine adults and several children.

Accepts the following donations: cleaning supplies, paper goods, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, wipes, deodorant, food, clothing, and household goods.

Domestic Violence Services Program at Domestic Violence Safe Options Services, Inc.
Vermillion Site
Provides services to victims and survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and stalking. They include Crisis intervention and referral services, 24-hour hotline, Temporary shelter, Support group, Transportation, food, clothing, and supplies, Safety planning, Crime victim compensation assistance, and Community education.
Services are confidential and free of charge.
Domestic Violence Center Program at Jan Manolis Family Safe Center
Huron Site
Services include Shelter, 24-hour hotline, food, transportation, counseling, assistance with housing search, assistance with job search, assistance with legal situations, and keeping all information confidential.
Programs include Common Sense Parenting which is a step-by-step guide for raising responsible children and providing skills to help parents build strong, healthy families. Parenting classes can be arranged for non-English speaking people. Class times vary, call for information.
Domestic Violence Services Program at Mitchell Area Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Response Team
Mitchell Site
Provides support services to all victims of domestic violence/sexual assault to ensure they receive a continuum of quality care through unified efforts of the team. Through the collaborative partnership, the team is comprised of representatives from: local and state law enforcement agencies, State's Attorney's Office, nurses, staff and advocates from the local shelter, victim and witness specialists, and campus officials from local University and Technical Institute counselors.
