Domestic Violence Center Program at Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center
Pierre Site
Programs and services include a domestic violence shelter, a community crisis line with a toll free number, crisis intervention, and telephone or face-to-face crisis counseling and advocacy. Victim services include: criminal and support services, transportation, emergency financial assistance, referrals and assistance with housing/social services/legal services/other community resources, legal advocacy, counseling referrals, and support groups. Community education is available to schools, civic groups, or interested community members on topics of preventing domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault.
Support groups include:
Hands are Not for Hitting: for children ages 6 - 12 who have been victimized by domestic violence or sexual assault.
Pattern Changing Group: for women who have been victimized by domestic violence. Child care is available for those attending group.
Donations Program at Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center
Pierre Site
Accepts gently used pillows, gently used bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, hygiene items, bedding, and new socks and underwear for children and women.
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program Program at Sacred Heart Center
Eagle Butte Site
Assists victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking to recover from the trauma they have experienced, as well as provides shelter.
Community education is available for the public and those who work with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Victim Services Program at Winner Resource Center
Winner Site
Domestic violence and sexual assault victim services program offers free support and emergency services to individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and related crimes in Tripp and Gregory counties, South Dakota.
Domestic Violence Services Program at Communities Against Violence and Abuse, Inc.
Lemmon Site
Provides non-judgmental advocacy, intervention, and shelter of victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, and elder abuse. Also provides visitation services and education about the issues which surround domestic violence.
