Program Information
Goal is to assist low-income, HIV infected individuals with the cost of specific health care needs. Benefits of the program are determined by federal guidelines and a state advisory council. Due to limited funding, applicants may be placed on a waiting listing until the program can serve them.
Due to restricted funding, services are limited, and the services offered east and west river are not identical. Applicants will need to set up an appointment with applicable case management organization to determine what, if any services, the applicant may be eligible for, and the case management organization can provide.
Eligibility
Applicant must be a resident of South Dakota, be diagnosed as HIV positive, have an income at or less than 300% of the federal poverty level, and not have the same services available through other compensation programs including Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, or other public resources.

Required Documents
Proof of income (income tax), SD residency, and proof of diagnosis.
