Program Information
Provides anyone responsible for feeding children, especially those with limited financial and educational resources, with basic food and nutrition information so they can have healthy and adequate diets. Hands on experiences are provided to teach: cooking skills, nutrition, meal planning, food safety, and shopping skills.
Eligibility
Anyone on economic assistance and responsible for feeding children. Generally, adults meet weekly in small groups or on a one-to-one basis for 10-12 lessons. EFNEP is offered to children through after-school enrichment programs. summer youth programs, and in some cases, regular school classes.
