Program Information

The Clay County Sheriff's Department protects the rights of the citizens within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attacks, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace.

The Sheriff's Department provides the following services - 911 services, mental health holds, county jail, burning bans, free gun locks, prescription medication disposal box in the lobby, pistol permits, civil process to be served, fingerprinting for background checks, and maintain the Sex Offender Registry.
