Internships

The Helpline Center is frequently looking for motivated, caring students who are interested in getting more exposure in the social services world. We offer a variety of internships for students pursuing degrees in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, and various other fields.

211 Social Work Intern (Part-time, Sioux Falls)

The 211 Social Work Intern would provide support for the 211 connection center functions such as responding to inbound calls, texts, and chats. This internship would also provide experience assisting with various outreach follow-up programs and other agency programs.

Qualifications:

Current Masters of Social Work program enrollment
Demonstrated interest/skills in human services
Strong oral and written English language skills
Working knowledge of computes and software programs

Marketing Intern (Part-time, Sioux Falls)

The Marketing Intern would assist in the marketing efforts for the Helpline Center including design, planning, and execution of marketing and communication strategies. In addition, they would help with the management and coordination of fundraising events at the Helpline Center.

Qualifications:

Ability and knowledge in social media platforms
Excellent writing skills
Detail oriented and organized
Flexibility and ability to manage many concurrent projects
Ability to speak well in front of small groups and one-on-one
Positive personality and excellent interpersonal skills
Creative with graphic design skills
