Over $67,000 Raised During 2025 Step Forward to Prevent Suicide

Thank you to the more than 800 individuals who recently took part in the 14th Annual Step Forward to Prevent Suicide event at Fawick Park in Sioux Falls. Your presence, energy, and commitment made the day incredibly powerful and inspiring. Whether you walked in memory of a loved one, to support a friend, or simply to stand in solidarity with those impacted by suicide, your participation helped create a meaningful and compassionate space for healing, awareness, and hope.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many generous donors who gave from across the entire country. Your support came from near and far, showing just how widespread and united the community is when it comes to addressing the critical issue of suicide prevention. Each contribution—no matter the size—helped make this event a success and played an important role in providing much-needed support to individuals and families affected by suicide.

We’re incredibly proud to share that we raised over $67,000 through this year’s event. These funds will directly support the Helpline Center’s suicide prevention trainings, which equip individuals and communities with the tools to recognize warning signs and intervene early. In addition, the money raised will help fund grief support services for survivors who are navigating the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one to suicide.

Thanks to all of you, we are able to continue this life-saving and life-supporting work.
