Since 1974, the Helpline Center has been giving support, offering hope and creating connections for individuals throughout South Dakota through a variety of programs and services.  We are looking for mission-driven, caring individuals who are interested in joining our dedicated team. 988 Mental Health Counselor (Full-time and Part-time Openings)

The 988 Mental Health counselors support individuals in emotional distress through crisis intervention, suicide prevention, brief counseling and follow‑up care while building clinical skills. A master’s degree in a related field is required; crisis experience is preferred.

Part time hours: 10-15 hours a week, mainly evenings and weekends

Full-time hours: 12:30-10:30 pm, Sunday through Wednesday

Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator is a full‑time role in Sioux Falls with traditional office hours.  This role will oversee and coordinate marketing duties for the Helpline Center including but not limited to the design, planning, and execution of marketing and communication strategies. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Youth Mental Health Internship

The internship’s primary responsibilities are to provide suicide prevention outreach and mental health education throughout South Dakota. The part-time (20-25 hrs/week) position provides an opportunity to practice a wide range of clinical skills, program development, and knowledge of the expanding field of behavioral health.

Youth Volunteer Specialist

The Youth Volunteer Specialist is responsible for the programming and operations of SALSA (Serve And Learn Student Association). This involves: Planning agendas, arranging speakers, recruiting projects and facilitating all Serve and Learn Student Association (SALSA) meetings at participating schools. A bachelor’s degree is required.
This role is 30-35 hours a week.
This role has the option to be a 10 month contract with the months of June and July off.
