Sioux Empire Survivor Financial Support
The Sioux Empire Survivor Financial Support Program provides limited financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing hardship following the loss of a loved one to suicide. During times of grief, unexpected expenses can create additional stress and challenges. This program exists to help ease some of those financial burdens so survivors can focus on healing and accessing the support they need.
Assistance may be available for a variety of loss-related expenses, including:
- Funeral and memorial service costs
- Burial or cremation expenses
- Clean up service costs
Eligibility requirements, funding guidelines, and application instructions can be found on our application page. Other unique circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: Current funding is limited to individuals and families within Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner and McCook counties in South Dakota.
