211 Transportation

NEW – – – Thanks to funding from the Black Hills Area Community Foundation, the 211 Transportation program is now available for adults in Rapid City.

The Helpline Center provides transportation assistance in Sioux Falls and Rapid City through Lyft Concierge aimed at assisting adults facing transportation challenges.

Our program eligibility is specifically designed to address and overcome immediate transportation barriers for residents living in the Sioux Falls or Rapid City city limits, ensuring they can access the resources and opportunities crucial for their well-being and daily living.

Up to six one-way rides are available for varying health and social needs. They must be for a social service or basic needs such as to the doctor’s office, DSS, grocery story or place of employment.

Rides are not guaranteed until approved by a Transportation Specialist and must be requested 24+ hours in advance (not including weekends). If you do not qualify or have met the maximum number of rides allowed, our staff may refer you to other possible alternative transportation options.
