Honoring Helping Hands

The Spirit of Volunteerism event, organized each year by the Helpline Center, is a celebration that unites community leaders, nonprofits, businesses and supporters to recognize the powerful contributions of volunteers. This widely attended gathering honors individuals, students, groups and organizations whose dedication and service help strengthen communities throughout the region.

During the event, volunteers are recognized across several categories, including youth, corporate, group, up-and-coming, shining bright and lifetime honorees. Each award recipient reflects a unique story of compassion and commitment, making a meaningful impact in areas such as human services, healthcare, education and community outreach. Through video features, recognition moments and guest speakers, the event highlights how volunteerism enriches and connects the community.

Beyond simply honoring achievements, the Spirit of Volunteerism is an uplifting celebration centered on gratitude and appreciation. It gives the community a chance to publicly recognize volunteers, celebrate their impact, and ensure they feel valued for their service. By highlighting these inspiring efforts, the event encourages continued volunteerism and helps foster a stronger, more connected community.
